Release Update - June 19, 2026
Groundbase Command and Stable Map Ops
Since the May 24 update, ground bases have grown into a fuller command layer. The map now links directly into ground-base command, base selections survive navigation, construction queues are easier to read, workforce allocation and specialisation are available, module build times are clearer, and mining, production, power, defence, population, and research modules now feed into stronger base output calculations.
The universe map has also had a reliability pass. Fog-of-war controls, grid inspection, hover feedback, graphics presets, constellation cache-worker rendering, viewport-aware streaming, reconnect diagnostics, forced resync controls, and safer WebSocket queue handling all make long sessions and reloads more dependable. Ship deltas now recover correctly after refreshes or page navigation, and viewport filtering no longer treats ships outside view as destroyed.
Command tools received more polish as well: the empire overview can now be dragged and closed, the news panel spacing was tightened, universe IDs are cleaner for public routes, account and onboarding handling is more robust, colony population growth now reacts to happiness, and admins have better live connection diagnostics for tracking active players.
Release Update - May 24, 2026
Weekly Command Update
The latest release is live, bringing a broader command experience from first login through empire operations. Players can now sign in, manage commander profiles, choose universes more clearly, complete first-run onboarding, track objectives, and receive player event notifications as progress is made.
On the strategy side, this update adds research selection, delivery contracts, starbase construction, ship building, and ground-base resource controls. Empire overview tools and map shortcuts have also been refined so active commanders can get back to the action faster.
Universe maps should feel smoother and more reliable thanks to viewport-aware updates, faster WebSocket recovery, bandwidth controls, better telemetry handling, visible ship markers, clearer ion and thunderstorm hazard visuals, and a profile shortcut in the top-right command display.
